Another amazing piece of Ohio history. This beauty found us on a trip through Amish country, and we had to bring her home. (Do you ever feel that way about old stuff?)
Handmade probably 100 years ago. Utilitarian, modest, warm, sturdy. The diagonal stripes and cool color palette blend together in timelessly. Imagine this wool rug next to a bed - keeping little toes off the cold wooden floor in the morning.
Yes, she's not perfect - because she was used for many years. Still a lot of life left here, whether she lies on the floor, hangs from a wall, or is draped over a chest or across a table.

Good antique condition with wear consistent with age and use. Loose stitches, surface wear plus soil/residue present. Some repairs noted. Last 2 photos show minor unraveling of weave. Has not been cleaned.
She's been cherished, used, loved - all so perfect for a 100 yr old rug. Dated to the early 1900s.
